In late July, Evential completed its first full deployment at NCAEC. Across three days and more than 40 exhibitors, we helped an event that had been running for eight years see a part of its story it had not previously been able to measure: what happened on the floor.
Built to fit the event
Attendees scanned once and wore a lanyard. There was no app to download, and the measurement did not require them to interrupt their conversations with exhibitors.
You were invisible in plain sight.
Richard, NCAEC Executive Director
What the numbers revealed
As reported in our September newsletter, 88% of attendees visited a sponsor booth, 68% were qualified leads, and 72% returned to the same booth at least twice. These results gave the organizers a more detailed picture than attendance alone.
Location and behavior told another story. Corner booths saw more flow than edge booths, and one exhibitor recorded more than twice the median engagement despite paying the same price. Measurement made those differences visible.
Evidence sponsors could take home
Within days of the show, each monitored exhibitor received a report covering traffic and leads. The event included companies such as Milwaukee Tool, Brady, Emerson, Capital Electric, Current Tools, and nVent CADDY.
For the organizing team, the ambition was to make the event the place to be in July. The deployment offered a way to connect that ambition with evidence of the interactions the show created.
What came next
The September update also pointed to the expansion of Evential’s sponsor discovery experience, with free browsing and more updates ahead. The central lesson stayed the same: the strongest event stories are easier to tell when the floor itself can supply the evidence.
