What counts as a visit, and what counts as a lead.
Two definitions. The same ones for every booth, at every event we measure. Published here so you can check any number we give you.
Three signals, three different outcomes
The rule removes a pass-by, qualifies sustained dwell, and combines meaningful return visits.

What counts as a visit, and what counts as a qualified lead
A visit is a continuous run of readings above the proximity threshold for a booth. A gap of more than five minutes starts a new visit.
A visitor counts as a qualified lead for a booth if their best single visit lasted three minutes or more, or if two or more visits of at least sixty seconds each totalled three minutes or more. Scanning the booth's QR flyer also qualifies the visitor because interest was stated directly.
A walk past does not qualify. A single badge reading does not qualify.
Thresholds are set before the event and applied identically to every booth in coverage. Where booths adjoin closely enough that a badge is in range of both, the visit counts for both, because the person was in front of both. That is real floor overlap, not double-counting.
How a booth's score is computed
EI-1 weights dwell at 65 percent and repeat visits at 35 percent. The result is normalized within the event to a 0–100 scale. An index of 100 is the strongest measured booth at that event.
It is deliberately not a dollar figure. We can measure how long people stayed and whether they came back. We cannot measure what that was worth to you, and a number that claimed to would be invented.
The index is computed within a single event. It does not yet compare across events.
What we do not measure. We do not measure conversations, purchase intent or what a lead is worth to a sponsor. Those require the sponsor's own sales criteria.
Tell us. We'll show you the basis for it.
If a number in your report does not match what your team saw at the booth, tell us. We will show you the visit-level basis for it, and if we are wrong, we will correct the report and reissue it.
